Welcome to 1712 House
Set on 80 historic acres, 1712 House blends New World comfort with Old World charm. The extraordinary house, and much of the furniture, was hand built nearly entirely with trees from the property and local handpicked stones. Inspired by 18th century French Huguenot architecture, 1712 House features historically correct details throughout including beamed ceilings, wide plank floors, custom built furniture, hand wrought iron hardware and period artifacts.
Completed in 2002 the inn has six unique guest rooms, each with its own private bath, luxury bedding and towels, writing table, free wifi, flatscreen smart TV with cable and a view of the private grounds. A delicious breakfast, cooked just for you, is included each morning. In the warmer months, central air conditioning keeps it pleasant inside, while an autumn chill can be warmed by the fire in one of our two large living rooms. All this set within eighty acres of rolling fields, mature woods, ponds and clear mountain streams.
Relax in our peaceful country retreat, just 1.5 miles from the center of Stone Ridge, or venture out to nearby hiking trails, vineyards, breweries, farmer's markets, antique shops and restaurants.
